Programs

Our clients must adhere to a zero tolerance policy, and are encouraged to be involved in 12-Step recovery groups such as AA/NA. We are centrally located in the heart of Fort Lauderdale within walking distance to public transportation, shops, and employment opportunities. Our treatment team consists of dedicated, motivated individuals working together to provide evidence-based care targeted to the unique needs of persons served. Our model is centered in Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, or ACT– a mindfulness- and acceptance-based behavioral therapy that capitalizes on the person’s core values to create life-saving change. Supplemental groups on parenting, career & educational goals, anger management, and financial literacy–among other topics–are also provided in the residential setting.

Harbor House Residential Treatment Program

The area is known for its beautiful beaches, scenic parks, and historic landmarks. Local attractions include the Maritime Aquarium, Stepping Stones Museum for Children, and the Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum. Harbor House relies on its partnerships with other agencies, like Ventura County Behavioral Health, to support them. Though the first of an eventual 50 small prefabricated housing units are now on site, the shelter, referred to as a navigation center by the city, is now not expected to open until sometime in the spring.
